I'm only 10 months into my contract iv'e had two phone's and now my newest one has water damage?

well, i always have my phone down my shirt and in the washroom when i shower, and the people at bel said that, that gives the phone water damage.. i got my first phone in september 2010, and my second one in december 2010. the sticker on the batteries is starting to turn bright red. my phone is motorola dext, it's really slow and it sometimes doesn't sent messages are all motorola dext's like that? thanks:)
