Do young mothers truly understand the responsibility of naming their children?

I am more than a little sad that the emphasis is on "trendeigh" spellings and pop culture icons and not on family names or etymology. Because I have been in the HR field and I know how resumes are tossed if a name is too ridiculous, it seems as though the lack of life experience in these new parents will undermine their child's public persona in the future.
