Question that my ex asked me? What should I take from it?

I haven't talked to me ex in 2 weeks.. he avoids me at school and all that. I broke up with him btw. Today, he messaged me and asked why I left class. I actually just left to use the washroom, but I suppose I looked upset. Why would he even bother asking if he never tries to talk to me?
