Do i study latin or greek?

hello, i am wanting to study/learn to read and write one of these languages to help me in further Bible studies and everything else in general, such as etymology etc.. I'v have heard that both languages are indeed hard to learn and study. So before i start i am wanting to know is that true? are these languages something you have to learn together or separately? if separately which one would you choose? and which program/software would you suggest to learn it. basically I'm just seeking information so if you know of anything that could help id appreciate it. Thanks
